About Aloke Dhonendra
Built for income that doesn't arrive on a fixed schedule
Aloke Dhonendra exists because standard financial planning tools assume a salary. We build allocation methodology for people whose income actually looks like freelance and contract work.
Our Story
Why we started here
Aloke Dhonendra began with a simple observation: most portfolio tools are built around a predictable paycheck, then bolt on adjustments for everyone else. That approach treats variable income as an edge case rather than a normal way of earning a living.
We took the opposite approach. Instead of adapting a salary-first model, we designed our analysis and allocation logic around income that fluctuates month to month — the reality for freelancers, contractors, and independent professionals managing cash flow alongside long-term goals.
That starting point still shapes every part of the platform today, from how we model risk to how we present recommendations.
Our Mission
What we're trying to get right
A short list of commitments that guide how we build, rather than a marketing promise.
Design for variability
We treat irregular income as the default case to plan around, not a complication to work around after the fact.
Show the reasoning
Recommendations come with the logic behind them, so users understand why an allocation looks the way it does — not just what it is.
Stay honest about limits
Our methodology is a decision-support tool. We're direct about what it can and cannot account for in any individual's situation.
Our Values
How we work
Clarity over complexity
If a feature or a recommendation can't be explained plainly, we don't consider it finished. Complexity is fine behind the scenes; confusion at the surface is not.
Methodology before marketing
We'd rather describe our approach accurately than make it sound more certain than it is. Markets carry risk, and our language reflects that.
Iteration, not perfection
Our models and tools are refined continuously based on how people actually use them, rather than treated as a finished product on day one.
A note on our approach: Aloke Dhonendra provides analysis and allocation methodology to support decision-making. It does not eliminate investment risk, and past patterns in any model do not guarantee future results.
Our Team
Who's behind the platform
Aloke Dhonendra is built by a small, focused group spanning quantitative analysis, software engineering, and product design.
Analysis & Modeling
Responsible for the risk and allocation logic at the core of the platform, and for testing how it behaves across different income patterns.
Engineering
Builds and maintains the systems that turn that modeling into a tool people can actually rely on day to day.
Product & Support
Shapes how recommendations are presented and works directly with users to understand what's useful and what isn't.
